English Norman is an incredibly talented jewelry designer and craftsperson based in Atlanta, GA. She loves color, texture, and change. Color because she loves art. Texture because she loves silversmithing, combining metals, and creating a rich tary in her work. Change because she loves how flowers and plants bloom and grow, how designs evolve in her studio, and how one bit of art influences another. English’s lifelong love of color pervades her unique, brightly-colored hand-smithed jewelry crafted of Argentium silver, 14K goldfill, and faceted semi-precious stones. Her background in architecture is evident in her structural designs which are formed by hand-smithing Argentium silver or gold with an acetylene torch. English's Bespoke Bangles were recently featured in The Best of the City issue of The Atlantan magazine. The Name Collection includes the popular Bespoke Bangles and Necklaces allowing the wearer to hold children's names close to their hearts.

What is really fun for me as an artist is to work with someone and come up with a completely new design! This cross bangles was created after several conversations with the delightful Emily Dinwiddie who writes Eleven Gables. She suggested a cross bangle that is "simple & affordable so that people can add more for their jingle. It's all about the stacked bracelet look." Perfect!
Simple and elegant, the bangle features the beautiful budded cross which symbolizes the Trinity (or the 12 Apostles, depending on the history you choose). The budded cross may have its roots in early Celtic Druidry in which the 3 circles symbolized the sky, earth, and sea. The handstamped metal circle is soldered to the top of the bangle which has been hammered by hand. The resulting texture adds contrast to the smooth round of the other side. Choose a personalized bangle from The Name Collection to add to your stack!
Because these are custom items, you can personalize the flat disc any way you would like. Graduation dates, birthdates, significant numbers or symbols... so many possibilities!
Available in either 14K goldfill or Argentium silver, each bangle is handcrafted to the size you choose. Need help determining the bangle size? Please check out our suggestions under Contact Us. The artist will contact you after your order to confirm the standard 8" size or see if you would like it larger or smaller.
Each piece is handcrafted by the artist in her Atlanta, GA studio. English uses ethically sourced and “fairmined” metal in her jewelry that she sources from a company who refines more metal than they pull anew out of the earth. All designs are copyrighted, ESN Artisan Jewelry 1997-2019.

Each pair of earrings in this collection is unique and different. The dangles drop about 1 1/2" from the ear. These earrings have a translucent blue chalcedony stone suspended from the hand formed swirls. This faceted stone is a beautiful shade of sea blue- the color of blue you might find in Bahamian waters. The stones are natural and may vary from stone to stone. Because each pair is handcrafted, there may be slight variation in the swirl, stone, and size. The gold wire is 14K gold-fill. The earrings Alex have a different stone dangling from the swirl. But the dangle idea is the same...
Twizzle
Each piece in this collection is a delightful combination of semiprecious stones and “twizzles” of silver or gold. What’s a twizzle? It’s a fantastic, funky shape that is created when silver or gold is forged, formed, hammered, smithed, and soldered with great imagination to create a unique work of art.
Each piece of jewelry is designed and handcrafted by the artist in her Atlanta, GA studio. Copyright ESN Artisan Jewelry, 1997- 2017.

It should seem obvious to have a bangle recognizing what so many of our friends struggling with something that requires a ribbon emblem. Instead, it took 2 dear friends (they are patrons, really) to ask about a ribbon symbol for a 3rd friend diagnosed with breast cancer. In honor of our mutual friend, a portion of each of these bangles sold will benefit https://myturningpoint.org in Atlanta.
The ribbon as a symbol raises awareness about a particular cause or health issue. Many of us are familiar with the pink breast cancer ribbon, the purple ribbon for Alzheimer’s disease, yellow ribbons for family members serving in the military overseas, and AIDS awareness. The first yellow ribbon was hung around trees in the 1970s by Penney Laingen whose husband was a hostage in Iran. Next was the red ribbon worn by Jeremy Irons for AIDS awareness. And one of the most iconic is the pink ribbon used as a show of support for those with breast cancer.

Each one is individually made so check out our FAQ page to find measurement suggestions. Choose a personalized bangle from The Name Collection to add to your stack!
