I'm already very careful with where I source my metals and stones (fair trade/sustainably mined) and realize I have a gold mine in my own studio! I'm challenging myself to think responsibly and source from ESN Studio.

These earrings feature some of my favorite carved turquoise stones with faceted peridots dangling below. They are just under 1 1/2” from the top of the earwire.

Blue druzy slice- This beautiful blue druzy is framed in goldplate. What is a druzy? It is the glittering effect tiny crystals have when they are spread over the surface of a stone. Druzies occur naturally in minerals like amethyst, chalcedony, agate, calcite- the list goes on!! Because each stone is natural, each one is unique and may vary slightly. 

Blue chalcedony- beautiful faceted medium blue chalcedony round stone nestled between two vermeil Bali beads.

Ruby- The coin shaped ruby is edged in gold plate and is a wonderful deep raspberry color.

Labradorite- The slice of labradorite edged in gold plate has a beautiful shimmer with flashes of blue, green, pink, and black.

Pyrite- Pyrite is a tough stone to photograph but the color is an earthy neutral with just a hint of green and shimmers of gold. The pyrite slice is edged in goldplate.

Reef Ripples post earrings with apatite

Reef Ripples

These base of these post earrings is a 3/4" Argentium silver textured circle. The resin pools are approximately 1/8" in profile and are filled with small batch pigmented resin tinted royal and pale blue. Blue topaz stones are exquisitely faceted in what is called an onion shape. These stones dangle beneath the post 1 1/4" and remind me a bit of a sea creature. Jellyfish, perhaps? 

Remember the summer spent at the ocean with the beautiful jewelry in the Reef Ripples Series. Each piece recalls the waves and the sea as ripples of resin are contained in tidal pools of hand-smithed Argentium silver. 

Healthy coral means a healthy world.
